REGENERAR Project Showcased at Encontro Ciência 2024

Innovative Research on Brain Cell Reprogramming was Presented at Porto’s Science Meeting in Portugal.

Date: july 5

The REGENERAR project gained significant attention at the “Encontro Ciência 2024” (“Science Meeting 2024”), a major platform for scientific dialogue and exchange held at the Alfândega Porto Congress Centre from July 3rd to 5th. This year’s event, organized by the Foundation for Science and Technology, featured a wide range of scientific activities and discussions under the theme “+Science for One Health and Global Well-Being.”

The meeting brought together over 2,000 participants and showcased more than 1000 scientific posters, with over 50 plenary and thematic sessions. Attendees had the opportunity to explore a diverse array of research and technological advancements at various stands, including the Science and Technology stand, which featured over 50 entities from the Portuguese scientific and technological community.

On the final day of the event, the REGENERAR project was prominently featured at the Centre for Innovative Biomedicine and Biotechnology (CiBB) stand. CiBB, a leading Research Unit at the University of Coimbra renowned for its excellence in Biomedicine and Biotechnology, provided a platform for highlighting the project’s innovative goals.

REGENERAR was presented to the attendees, who received detailed flyers about the project. The presentation emphasized REGENERAR’s objective to develop a non-viral formulation for reprogramming specific brain cells into functional neurons, marking a significant advancement in the field of neuroregeneration.
